It has been raining almost daily here in Toronto. This summer is a little less than par. It feels more like Fall. I snapped this photo below when the rain had stopped and the sun had started to come out, yet the black clouds hadn't left yet:
Have I told you about my magic umbrella? If I take it with me to the post office, it doesn't rain. If I forget it at home, it pours. That umbrella of mine has such magical powers I tell you!
My newest painting shows Frida caught out in the rain. She is prepared for the rain with her pretty umbrella.
Frida with Umbrella is currently up for grabs on
ebay.

Bahaha, you are such a hoot! I love your magic umbrella story! And your painting! But really your magic umbrella....too funny!
I have taken to carrying an umbrella every single day. It's small, fits in my bag, but has come in handy SOOO many times. Yes, this is a strange year, weather-wise. I'm still waiting for the 'real' summer.
Lovely artwork as usual. The colors remind me of better weather!
oh qué bonita! no puedo evitarlo! me encanta!!
Wow impressive sky! The summer is usually notoriously bad in England but a couple of weeks back we had about 2 weeks straight of lovely weather, very unusual. Right now it's not very summery though!
I love dramatic sunlit, dark cloud, pictures. We have also had a topsy turvy summer. I am holding out for August and September, glorious golden September.
Love the umbrella and skirt:)
I'll bet you could get a lot of $ on eBay with that magic umbrella! haha!
same type of "summer" here in Michigan.. at least I'm saving on the air conditioning bill !
I met friends the other night for my birthday dinner and every year it's always been so hot and humid and my hair frizzes up! This year I had to wear a sweater and take my umbrella because it was so cool and raining! And I live in the Midwest! Scary weather! (But I'm not really complaining because for once my hair looked good! Ha! Ha!)
Oh my, love the magic umbrella....It's been raining here too~
I have the 'magic drying rack' where I let my clothes dry in the sunshine the other day-then my dryer broke and it started to rain!
Love the paitning:)
Take care-
Andrea
So lovely, adorable..
I love your Frida. Please send us some of that rain down to the southwestern part of the U.S. We're dying of heat down here!! Enjoy your nice weather...wish I were in Toronto!!
She's so cute Tascha!
Send the rain this way :) I have brown grass this summer. Ready to do a rain dance myself!
Weeds are thriving though. grrrrrrrr

It is unbelievable, but in Toronto seems to be the same autumn- look- alike weather than here in Germany.
Just rain and dark dramatic clouds.
I would need an umbrella like yours (LOL)
I have a magic snow sweatshirt. It has little penguins on it and the words let it snow. Whenever I want it to snow, I wear the sweatshirt. Works like a charm!
:)

Our summer was amazing, but the rain is coming so we know it will end soon.
My umbrella is always in my car so when it's raining I have to run out in the rain to get it...dumb!
I love the idea of Frida in the rain. And her polka dotted umbrella is just my style:)
Tracy
I love that umbrella story. Frida with her umbrella looks to be in deep thought. Beautiful as always.
this is a delightful painting! and so original!
Trade places with you.... I love the rain... The sun is over-rated lately here in Florida... Hot Hot Hot.... Perhaps I should get myself one of those magic umbrellas, or snow boots! :) Love the painting! :) - Kim
