Natural foods

I think it is something about the weather getting nicer that draws me to eating better. Lately I have been trying very hard to only eat real food. By "real" I mean an actual carrot, broccoli, banana... you get the idea. I want to eat something natural. Today I put a banana in the blender with milk and a little honey and that was breakfast! All natural. Nothing out of a box or can. I have carrot sticks for snacks, rice (not the minute kind)... I just want to eat things that aren't processed. So today I had a nice articoke as a snack. I love love love artichokes! If you've never cooked one here is a good website with info: Click here
I cook mine and dip them in melted butter and lemon juice. I don't really like the way the ones soaked in oil taste that are in jars.
So that is what is new with me. I am just trying to eat better.

I also have the honey bear print up at etsy now.

I so agree with you. I was offered some over processed pocky sticks this morning and I think I gagged. So believe in listening to what your body needs to eat rather than 'wants' to eat. The artichoke sounds divine.

Woah! I saw the picture of the artichoke and thought YUMMM! I love them just like that with the butter, lemon, and salt. I also had a recipe with them steamed like that and then cold with a lemon cream dipping sauce--fantastic! Have a great day!

Bonjour Tascha! Yes! It must be something special is in the air! I too have been on a healthier than healthy way of eating! I try to replace lunch of supper with a salad, and that is 7 days a week. And I do feel much better for it! I too love artichokes! And you know what? I grew them in the garden last year and on 3 plants I harvested 16 buds! Your painting is so sweet! Have a great week! Tascha!

The funny thing is you're eating healthier with the artichoke but ruin it by adding all the saturated fat from the butter!

But.......

I would've added the butter too so I'm one to talk!

Oh, and the bear print....adorable as always.
