Skating Blissfully

Do you remember when you were young and being blissful was put into everything you did?
My newest painting is a celebration of youth. I have some footage of myself and a friend skating when we were 8 years old.
I have made a new video showing this footage along with the process of my newest painting. I remember that day. Skating and falling down and laughing. You want to know something? I never remember feeling cold.

"Skating Blissfully" is at auction right now HERE.

I would also like to mention that the lovely headband I am wearing was made by RAIMBOW TREE on etsy! She is such a sweet creative girl!

Just found you Tascha, and love your paintings. Can you tell me please what is that white pencil (?) you used in an earlier painting that you "unwrap" instead of sharpening?

Hi Janina,
It is called a "china marker" it is like a wax pencil that can put marks on almost anything. It comes in black, white, red, blue, yellow and green.

Memories of childhood tend to mold our artistic viewpoint at times. :)

Tascha, So Sweet, I love your video, a poem, a joy and your painting of love so beautiful. The ending was so dear. I will always remember it with your beautiful little smile and falling down to be with your friend.

Don't be afraid to Fall.....thank you.

I love your videos! They are so relaxing. I would love to skate again but I have to be afraid to fall. I had a kidney transplant 2 years ago and can't take that chance:( But watching you was fun.I just purchased your little blue bird print. It's my husbands & my favorite. We have it on our screen saver and see it everyday.May I have your permission to put a little print of it on a college for my nephew?
Please!!?

I don't know which is sweeter...the painting or the footage that inspired it! Maybe it's just you. :)

I really do love this one!

HI Suze!
Oh that is so sweet that you got the blue bird print! Please feel free to use it for a gift to your nephew!
"Don't be afraid to fall down" could be taken in a few different ways. Maybe in your case, you can take it in the sense that you can take risks and you shouldn't be scared of them not working out.
Take care!

To be honest, I am a little afraid to fall. I have been rather "stiff" in my videos because of some sort of fear of acceptance. I'm not sure if that is even the right word "acceptance", but something is holding me back from feeling completely comfortable on camera. I hope to get over it soon.
