New art

Happy Thursday to you all!
Thanks for the well wishes on my woodburning burn :)
It looks like I have a strawberry mark on my leg now. I wonder if it will leave a mark permanently?
I had fun today painting this Frida painting while chatting with my old high school friend on the internet. We set up our web cameras and both were painting at the same time. I would show her the progress as I painted and we would critique each other as we went along. It was cool!

I did manage to get out and shoot some video yesterday for my new video. I'm getting there. Soon. Hang on :)

Hugs to all!
FRIDA with Brids can be found up for grabs on ebay.

Hi Tascha,
Your Frida has such lovely eyes. She is beautiful. It's so nice that you are still in touch with friends from high school, and that you can share your talents. I'm looking forward to your video.

Tascha I have seen your FlickR gallery several times, favourited, went back to see....the colours you use are striking and the style is distinct. I love what you have done in the 2005 2006 2007 galleries and now the characters have changed ...I was listening to your radio talk show some time back and you talk about this transition as well. I just want to say that I find your work admirable. love...dee.

It sounds like fun, painting with your friend. A change from painting alone in my studio.

I love the look of your girls' faces these days. The low wide-set eyes give them such a curious look. :) It's fun to watch your art evolve!

You know what's kind of funny? You get a minor injury (the wood burning incident) and the injury inspires you to paint the beautiful Frida, whom so much of her work was inspired by her own tragic injury. I too recently got injured--tore my hamstring. Then all of a sudden this Frida painting that has been hanging in my hallway forever, in which I never notice anymore, really became prevalent. I couldn't walk by it without stopping. I posted it on my blog recently.

Frida must be every artist's goddess of healing!! Funny.

Peace & Love.

Hi Tascha,

Good for you for saving the pigeon! In England where I live my vet will not accept wild birds that are injured because of fears of bird flu. Your video made me smile.

Hello Tascha
I'm a new visitor of your web site, and I'm brazilian. I'd like to know what kind of ink do you use in your paintings. Some years ago, I usually painted a lot, but i stop. Thank you....
