sketching

Well, I didn't get the condo. My bid was "the lowest, and considered kind of funny compared to the other offers"....which is weird, since I offered them their asking price. Apparently the condo sold for $20,000 OVER their asking price. So, I guess my offer was kind of funny :)
I'm starting to feel a bit like a little fish swimming with a bunch of big sharks!
It's a bummer. I had myself living there in my mind's eye. I knew where all my furniture would go, I could see the cats sun bathing by the window. Then *poof* gone. Oh well, I'm quite happy where I am so that's okay with me :)

I thought I'd show you a couple of pages of my little sketchbook just for fun.
I noticed this was a project I wanted to do in March '09! So many projects, so little time.
This is an idea for a rolled pencil case with a patch of my art on it:

Plus just some fun faces:

Have a great night!

Tascha I'm sorry you didn't get it. What is up with that?? I thought when there was an asking price, the idea was to try and get it talked down, not $20,000 above!
thanks for sharing your sketches!
I agree with the 'so many projects, so little time' remark, lol!

Sorry about the condo. We made an offer on a house last year and the market was wonderful for buyers.. so many houses up for sale.. but my heart raced for the few days we had to wait for an answer.
I love the roll up pencil case!

Life has a funny way of leading up to where we need to be!

Cute sketches, love seeing the creative process.

I'm one of those folk that *know* that all things happen in their own time ... and not without reason, or lesson - for ourselves and/or for others. So, I'm glad you're happy where you are now. It reminds me of a bumper sticker a friend of mine has on her car, "I'd rather be here."

:)

And I *love* your sketches - and the idea for the pencil case!

Oh, Toronto...some friends have just been through all that...they ended up paying so much more than they wanted...
I love seeing your sketches...sorry I haven't passed by in a while.

Tascha, that just means that the condo you are actually meant to have is still waiting for you and the perfect moment. I love your artwork!

Tascha, I've watch House Hunters in your area and feel for you as you really do have to go way over asking to get close to getting anywhere. Keep trying, you'll get your dream condo!

Your project is SO cute. I have one of those rolled pencil cases and they are super handy. One with art on it would be just to cute to pass up. HUGS!

Hi Tascha,

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get the condo. This must mean that one day, when your sitting in your fabulous new condo, you'll look back and know exactly why this deal didn't work out. There are better things ahead!

I love, love, love your art!

Sorry about the condo. It wasn't meant to be because something else is out there waiting for you...the perfect place.
I know that it is still disappointing tho...hang in there.
