PEROGIES

There is nothing better on a cold winter day like this, than a nice plate of perogies! I found this recipe on the web that looks good! I may have to try it....or just use the frozen perogies like I usually do :) I just love them fried with some sour cream on the side. YUMMY!
Making Perogies is up for grabs on ebay!

Hi! Tashca,
This is such a wonderful and adorable painting it reminds me of that song in the 70's "Up! Up! and Away!... In my Beautiful...My Beautiful Balloon!!... Ohh! I only know the chorus.

Thanks for making me giggle your paintings are always fun I could have a bad day and all I need to do is look at one of your paintings!

Sincerely,

I saw a different and easy Perogie shortcut/variation the other day on telly. You cook large shell pasta shapes(a bit smaller than perogies)and then stuff them with the potato mixture and sprinkle with Parmesan and bake till warm. You can freeze them until you want to use them and then bake.

Perogies and sour cream!
Cheers, Shelagh

i bake the mini ones to dip in sour cream, but swimming in butter and onions is good too!

Darling painting!

I love perogies...and must admit, I go for the frozen kind, too, but I'd love to make some fresh someday.

I bake mine and have never thought of having them with sour cream, but, mmm, yummy. Must try!

Ooooh, I love perogies. My mother in-law is Ukranian so she makes them for us. Delish!! The best are the plum perogies with powdered sugar and sour cream. Yum!!

The painting is too cute!
Enjoy your week Tascha!!!!

Pierogi (yes yes - PIEROGI:))

They are better when you boil them; then drain well and fry with oil or butter... Mmmmm crispy pierogies served with fried chopped onions:]
