Healthy eating

I have been sticking to my healthy eating diet. I actually don't crave candy anymore!!! YAY! Can you believe it? I think it's been about 3 or maybe 4 weeks since I've eaten chocolate. I got through the rough patches by eating dried mango and raisins. I've had meat about 4 times in the 4 weeks since I started this new way of eating. Only eating meat once a week is a big cut back! I do plan on cutting it out altogether soon. I feel guilty every time I eat it. I have been having a lot of tofu and I love it! Whole Foods is my new haven :) I go there once a week and get lots of good stuff. This is putting a bit of a dent in my wallet. But I feel it is worth it to get healthy. I also use unscented laundry detergent, pure bath soap, crystal deodorant etc. I am avoiding chemicals at all costs. I am trying to stay as organic and pure as possible. This being said, I don't think I will be dying my hair. I just don't think my body can handle the chemicals involved.
So this is what is new around here. My friends from Youtube will be coming here on Thursday! It will be so cool to actually meet them in person! YAY!
Talk to you soon!
(((hugs)))

Hello Tascha
Congratulations for your kind of diet. I would like to stop eating meat, because I love animals, and I think it's not a good thing kill them for eating, while we have veg. But, that's the problem...I don't eat verdures.
Thank you so much for your videos. They're really good and sometimes they make me laugh so much. Thank you. You makes my life more funny!!!
I do like your blog, it's so beautiful, cute...
i wish you all the best!!!

I love her flying over the little forest. And her little wings.

Eating meat is not necessarily bad for you. I think it is important to make sure it is organic, for the animals and for you. I was a vegetarian for 20 years, but unfortunately it was bad for my health. Different bodies need different things. My health is much much better when I eat meat.

Congratulations on giving up sugar. You look very well.

I wish I had the will power to do this. I have't had a Pepsi for 2 weeks now and I'm not craving it any more. Although I do like to have a Pepsi with certain foods. So, we'll see how long that lasts!

That's a nice new painting.
You better not look at my blog. My friend brought me Canadian Smarties from her trip to Canada and I posted a photo of them. I'd hate to make you crave candy. Good luck with continued healthy habits.

Your new painting is delightful!
Makes me want to get mine finished!
I think your hair is gorgeous and I applaud your resolve to stick to a healthy diet. Moderation in all things is good.

Your painting is so happy...must be the diet she's on too! Well done! Those are the best kind of diets, where you decide to just be healthy! Good for you! I try it, until great things are offered up at special functions! But I know once you purge the sugar you're on your way to staving off the cravings!

Whole Foods is great isn't it! You are right, shopping organic can put a dent in the wallet. Have you tried your farmers market? Getting (organic) certified is very expensive and virtually impossible for small farms to do, but if you get to know your local vendors you may find some of them avoid pesticides and use organic fertilizers, etc.

As for body products try Jason brand. They are quite pure and reasonable priced!

You look very healthy and happy in your photo! :)

Try some veggie Miso soup. It supplies tons of protein and Miso, especially the red variety, reduces the bad cholesterol.

I'm inspired by all your healthy eating habits and motivated to change my diet. I'm happy that my town just got a new "Earth Fare" grocery store which is like "Whole Foods". I definitely need to be more aware of all the chemicals out there. I was also interested in tofu and other soy foods until I read recently that soy is not really all that healthy. I gather that it's ok in moderation, but if you google "tofu unhealthy" you'll see a lot of info.

I just want to add this soy issue is probably just another controversial food issue that comes and goes; like eggs used to be unhealthy and now they're healthy.

Congrats on kicking the sweets. Have you noticed a difference in your energy and the way you feel? I need to follow in your footsteps..
My worry would be iron, I have to take iron pills to keep my levels up.
Sweet little painting:)
