Somethin' sweet

Well, I did it. I caved. I ate candy. I went for 4 months without candy. I was doing so well, but everyday I passed the Halloween candy section I was tempted. Today I bought a bag of Tootsie Rolls. I think I've ate about 20 of them :(
Now I feel gross from eating so much sugar. I think I have learned my lesson. I'm back on the no candy diet.
So here is something sweet that won't raise your insulin levels :)

I painted this one on a wooden canvas that has a thick undercoat of modeling paste. Lots of sweet collage papers too!
It is up for grabs on ebay HUGS!

She is lovely and sweet. I like the texture and pretty colors. That too much sugar feeling isn't too great. I have a hard time resisting the mini Snicker bars at Halloween.

You had to do it. You had to. Just to find out that you didn't want to. It is part of giving up.

I have a similar problem, I tried a self-hypnosis CD, my sweet tooth was so bad.
Every time I'm tempted to eat anything sugary, I start to feel queazy as I'm convinced there is hair inside it(I know it's gross, but it's the only way I won't have to get anymore fillings!)
Oh, and I really love your paintings too, they always make me smile!

I feel your pain, Tascha. There is an entire aisle (2 sides) of Halloween candy in the grocery store here. I try to walk around. When I go to the pharmacy.. now *that's* dangerous territory since they have halloween scattered all *over* the store.. sigh My teeth ache just thinking about it. heheh

Anyways, I hate artificial sweeteners as a rule, but, when I remember, I keep some sugar-free hard-candies by my wheel for the occasional moments of weakness while I'm working. (Emergency situations, you know..?)
Just the same, been trying to keep fruit in the house and keep the candy as a last resort.

She is very sweet...but I still crave the bad stuff. It's a hard season to get thru and then there is Christmas around the corner. Sugar cookies!
On the other hand those look like the smaller tootsie rolls. Those are my favorite.
Get back on the wagon my dear.

Four Months without candy? I don't know if I could do it....
The painting is sweet but chocolate is much sweeter! :)

Tootsie Rolls are NOT a bad candy to eat. Yes, moderation is key, but they are low in fat and are often allowed on diet regimens to aleve a sweet tooth.

So good choice, is all I'm sayin'........

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again. Hugs.

Hiya! A tootsie roll a day is good for your spirit! Chew, chew, chew... one can't hurt, it is eating the whole bag that does it:)

I love Siamese kitties. We had two seal points, Topaz and GiGi.

Cute painting.

Hey Tascha, Sorry to hear you were feeling yucky. I understand. I fell off the wagon too! I wasn't eating candy or bad carbs (all the white foods)...but my slip was very sublte. It started very small...just a taste of this and a little taste of that and now I am having cravings and I keep thinking about going and getting something really yummy! Anyhoo, just thought I'd write to say I HEAR YA SISTA!
