So much emotions and feelings to deal with… Some regrets, some fears, a lot of happiness… I really need to lay down my heart on a life book… learn new techniques to open my wings… to learn to fly… My dream is to be able to welcome the next part of my life as a way to start new dreams and follow some others I already live for a decade now (husband kids…) I don’t wan’t to look at the past as things I’ve missed or failed… I want to be proud and be happy and Art help me each day ! ReplyDeleteI would love to win a spot because the past year has been a very emotional and turmoil filled year. I lost sight of all the things I loved and I stopped appreciating myself . I’ve regained a lot of ground back but I still struggle with finding that inner peace again. I think life book would be a fantastic way for me to heal and express the chaos that had built up inside of me. After two decades of leading an unhappy, unfulfilling life filled with failures, rejections and unrealized dreams, I took the plunge to follow the voice of my heart that had been whispering for many years to take up writing and art. Before, I never thought I was good enough to write and to make art, but, being in a very dark period of my life, I grabbed onto writing and drawing which turned out to be become my shining guiding light. Since then, my energy changed and I was led to art journaling and more writing. For the first time, I feel alive and connected with my soul. I feel I’m on the right track and finally stepping into the lime light of life itself. I’m ready to take up the heroine role in my life story and write my own life book. But as the single adoptive mom of two lovely ladies from China I never have that much money at once. I would love to be in Life book...I was in the first lifebook...won a spot there and it was such a wonderful experience I would soooo love to do it again...I lost my house a year ago and depression has been my best friend for awhile...I need some help to get myself out of it...

ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you will be a part of Lifebook. I took Lifebook in 2012 and had so much fun interacting with all the other artists. I wasn't able to take Lifebook 2013 because life got in the way. Lifebook and art saves me from the stress of all the hate that seems to be present in the world today. I work in the legal field and between that and the news, sometimes you think is there anyone nice left in the world? Then I got to one of my art groups and I see so much compassion, generosity, creativity and kindness and all is right in my world once again!

ReplyDeletethe fact that I live so so so far away (in Israel) prevents me from attending actual classes, so I resort to online classes, and with this class I'll be covered for the entire year...thanks for the oppertunity.

Oh My Goodness!! Just took a good look at what this is all about! WOW WEE! What an online class. SO many wonderful and talented artists all in one spot! And online - which is sooo convenient.
ReplyDeleteOkay, for my reply as to why I would like to take this class would be:
Now that my daughter is on her own way to greatness applying for Grad School to get a Masters/Ph.D....it is my turn to fly and venture out. (I was a stay at home / home school mum for 16 years). For the past two years now, I have discovered ART in my ripe ole age of 52!! And this art journey is amazing! So I wish to take this class so that I can keep on learning and adding to what I have already learned these two years. Learning from so many different styles of art would be so rewarding!

I'm stuck in my house most of the time due to PTSD and have found by taking Sheri's and Tam's class that I have found an outlet to express myself. I am a beginner and am really trying to gain more confidence in believing in myself.

The reason I would like to win a spot in Life Book 2014 is that I am fascinated with painting faces and I would love to learn from you as I am self taught and want to learn more and more to develop my own style and take it a step further. I paint everyday and if I am not painting I am thinking about it, I am in a lot of pain and I paint to forget the pain and take myself to a better place...it is a meditation for me.
