New Note Cards

Thank you all so much for all your tasty ideas on recipes for the ground cumin! I think I will have to make some spicy chili with it! YAY! Three cheers for kidney beans! HIP HIP HORRAY!

I have added a new pack of Frida note cards to my etsy shop! I only made one pack, but I plan to make more.

Cleaning the spice rack

Okay, I should find a condo to move into *someday* right? With that in mind, I keep trying to sort out all my worldly possessions and get rid of stuff I don't need anymore. When I *finally* move, I don't want it to be a big rigmarole of sorting out stuff. I want it to be an easy move.
Today I tackled the spice rack (a.k.a. the cupboard above my stove that is a "catch all of spices and aluminum foil"). Wow! Did you know that if a vanilla extract bottle with a loose cap spills at the back of the cupboard and is left to dry, it becomes super glue?
Yes, sir-ee! I was getting rid of old spices and scrubbing vanilla for a few hours. Does anyone know what recipe "ground cumin" would call for? I have a brand new bag of it, and I don't have a clue why I bought it! LOL!
So that was today's task. On to the next...

Lily is so funny! I love this picture I took today of the two of us. She had her head turned right around! I think giving her ear kisses tickle. It must drive her nuts that she can't laugh!



This is my newest painting "Queen and her White Cat". Lots of paper application and an antique wash. I love the expression on this kitty's face :)

Siamese kitty love

After all the talk about yesterday's post of me with my seal point Lily, I decided to paint a similar style painting :)
Lily got lots of hugs and kisses today. Opie likes to sleep in my arms at night and Lily stays back behind my knees as I sleep. In the daytime I like to give her a little extra attention because Opie gets so many kisses in the night.

Would you believe the weather got cold again? WOW! And it's JUNE! No wonder Opie is asking to get under the covers!
