Seal Point Siamese

Did you know that all siamese cats are white when they are born? They are! They slowly develop their "points" as they age. The color is darkest in areas where their body heat isn't as warm.
I have 2 siamese cats, a flame point (Opie) and a seal point (Lily). I talk a lot about Opie, so today I want to talk about Lily.
Here is a picture of Lily when she was still a kitten. See how light her fur was back then?
(P.S. I gave her the yarn for the photo and took it away right after I took the picture. Cats should never play with string because they can swallow it.)

Now that she is 3 her fur has gotten very dark. It was really interesting to be able to slowly see it change color over time.
This is my newest painting inspired by Lily.
She's a "nervous siamese". Very jumpy, but we love her and spoil her all the same.

The picture below is a small snippet from one of my prints. What you have to do is guess what print it is from. It is a print that is currently in my etsy shop. You get only one guess. The first person to get it right going down the list of comments is the winner! So you have to be the FIRST ONE to get it right. You only get ONE chance. Please post the title of the print (example:POCKET MIRROR bunny forest from original painting by Tascha) by cutting and pasting the title and posting it in the comments here. I will be keeping all comments hidden until I reveal them all at 10PM tonight and announce the winner.

Chatting up a storm

It is SO COLD here lately. So the best thing to do is to stay inside and talk to your friends on the phone! I actually talk to my Mom every single day on the phone. Many times a day actually :)
So here is a little painting with a girl (who happens to have 2 siamese cats) on her phone. Her princess phone!
