NEW class!
I am so excited to bring you my new online art class. I adore patterns and I find they really add a lot of interest to my paintings. In this class I show you how to create a wide variety of patterns and keeping them all together in one reference book! There are 17 videos, approx. 2 1/2 hours worth of information! In the end you are left with a beautiful reference book of patterns that you yourself created to go to when you need inspiration.

VIDEO 1, 2, 3, 4: We explore the polkadot and other interesting dotted patterns.

VIDEO 5, 6, 7:Now we experiment with stripes and colors.

VIDEO 8: We try our hand at some fun plaid prints.

VIDEO 9: We look to nature for inspiration!

VIDEO 10: Animal prints are a fantastic way to add something wild to your artwork!

VIDEO 11: We learn about grouping images to make a pattern.

VIDEO 12: In this lesson we take a look at geometric patterns and how they can add a modern twist to your art.

VIDEO 13: We take inspiration from a hooked rug to paint a free form floral pattern.

VIDEO 14: Watercolors make an appearance in this class as a way of adding a beautiful background to our patterns.

VIDEO 15: We turn to Gustuv Klimt as inspiration for making interesting patterns.

VIDEO 16: Our patterns get more complex as we work with positive and negative space within the pattern.

VIDEO 17: Our Final Lesson is focused on taking what we learned and applying it to an actual painting! I have a PDF of a simple line drawing that you can print out and experiment with coloring in using your very own patterns!
