I...I think you should do what makes you feel good. I personally feel better and prettier with blonde hair. It really brightens up my face. Blonde was my natural hair color, but as I got older, it started getting darker.
Now with a few gray hairs coming in, I hardly notice them.
My personal opinion is that you look younger and more striking with darker hair. You look like the girls that you paint. You can always go natural and shouldn't feel any guilt about dying it. There are lots of natural henna's you can use.
I know a lot of ladies who love their gray hair, and that's great. My opinion is, if you love it, keep it. If you don't, change it. Take care and good luck, KarinKarin Growhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04454743596667648891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6414320155191227033.post-11059985155114084012008-07-28T11:51:00.000-04:002008-07-28T11:51:00.000-04:00Like Connie, my mother died her hair till the last...Like Connie, my mother died her hair till the last week of her life. The day she died she was 63 years old and had died her hair a couple nights before. She was a strong First Nations woman and loved her black hair that she had had her entire life and did not want grey hair. It was not part of her identity. So if you feel wrong having grey hair then there is nothing wrong with dying it.

Do what feels good to you. Only then will you feel that you be happy. If you keep feeling like there is something wrong with they way you are looking or feeling not complete then find a way to bring yourself peace of mind. Some women go grey, some fight it till the very end. I think I will end up being a fighter. I freak out if I find one. I don't see myself letting it go grey till I am much, much older.

Get some temporary dye and try it. Experimenting with your appearance is not wrong. I have a feeling that you think you are betraying yourself if you give in. Don't give in to that. Let yourself be free to have fun.REBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10218450420363531131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6414320155191227033.post-33859038330614933552008-07-28T10:54:00.000-04:002008-07-28T10:54:00.000-04:00I agree with the others that you are beautiful eit...I agree with the others that you are beautiful either way. But I understand your dilema. I am struggling too, but the color is weakening my hair and causing it to break because of health issues. I use a non permanent color and it doesn't stink. It's Clairol Natural Intincts and lasts about a month if you wash everyday.
xo suzesuzehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12446832751028309867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6414320155191227033.post-5387407813690051402008-07-28T10:19:00.000-04:002008-07-28T10:19:00.000-04:00Tascha, when you first wrote about the "grey" subj...Tascha, when you first wrote about the "grey" subject, we all talked about wanting to accept ourselves the way we were instead of having to feel that we had to "make ourselves acceptable" by following the standards of what is "pretty." I think that women who love themselves exactly the way they are is the greatest thing. I have yet to be able to do that.
And yet, when you posted a while back wearing that hot pink wig, you talked about being "bored" with the grey. So, you know, maybe it's not just about whether you should accept yourself with the grey. You're an artist, and maybe it's just that, like the rest of us who are artists, you adore color. After all, you don't paint in shades of grey, but beautiful color.
As for chemicals, if that's what you're concerned about, I am reading in these comments about safer hair dyes in the health food stores that I didn't even know about. Sounds like a good alternative.
Either way, you've shown yourself to be a beautiful, intelligent woman. Whatever you decide is the best for you is all that matters.
Carol B.Carol B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14536514555513641334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6414320155191227033.post-13906056903317538062008-07-28T10:06:00.000-04:002008-07-28T10:06:00.000-04:00Tascha, grey or no grey - you are beautiful. It's been 7 months and I haven't colored mine either (this sounds like some sort of AA meeting). I too get down sometimes when I see the grey, until I realize that I’m perfectly presentable and beautiful, as you are, the way God made me. I gave hair color up for many reasons. After I did intense research on chemicals for an area project, I knew I would never go back. I remember talking to my sister about why so many people unconsciously do things to hurt the environment that need not be. She said, "but hair dye is a necessity." I strongly disagreed and partly wanted to prove that's it's not by not coloring my hair. What really put the cherry on the pie for me though, was reading Rachel Carson's Silent Spring. If you ever get a chance, I recommend reading it. You'll find yourself more passionate about why not to color your hair than why to color your hair. If you find you can't give up the hair dye, Henna is an alternative. I've tried it a long time ago and made many different concoctions from flowers petals, roots, and even juice. But hey, you're an artist (and a good one at that) I'm sure you have your own creative ideas on getting past this hair dye thing. Good luck in your endeavors, LisaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6414320155191227033.post-16639278686933986102008-07-28T01:49:00.000-04:002008-07-28T01:49:00.000-04:00I know I'll use something to cover my grey when it...I know I'll use something to cover my grey when it becomes more pronounced.
